Hopefully you will have seen our happy patients’ images and think how wonderful they all look in new glasses!!
Different frame styles and colours suit different faces, and these results do not happen by chance!!
Without going into too much depth, factors to consider to get glasses that really suit a patient include:
Face shape – Round, oval, heart, or square?
Complexion – The colour of a frame can be used to compliment your skin tone e.g, blues and greens will calm pink tones and fairer skin can be warmed by reds, creating the same effect as a blusher.
Facial features – Different frame styles can be used to flatter your features e.g, a frame with
a double bar bridge can make a longer nose appear shorter
Personality – Eyewear can reflect your persona and style e.g, quirky, conservative, casual, or smart.
Glasses prescription – Consideration must be given to the visual requirements, complex prescriptions, and personal wants – as they all influence the frame choice.
To excel in the above takes a great degree of skill, training, and practice. And that’s before having the knowledge of the plethora of different lens options and what would best suit a certain patient.
Above all, the manor and the personality in how the above is presented are equally important,
and that’s where I would like to congratulate Rachel on completing her ABDO dispensing
degree course.
Rachel has been dispensing glasses in her kind, caring manner for over 7 years. The completion of her ABDO degree course culminates 3 years of very hard work, on top of having a full time job, young family, and a kind but at times demanding boss 😉
Llongyfarchiadau mawr Rachel.
