Eye exam at A1 Eyewear

Eye Exam

When you visit us in-store, your eye exam will be divided into two steps. The first involves assessing eye health, while the second checks your glasses prescription.

Eye Health

A health check of your eyes allows us to reassure you regarding your long-term vision and answer any concerns or questions you may have. We use Optomap scanning to assess eye health, which is an ultra-wide scan that examines the back of the eye. It allows us to view about 82% of the retina, compared to the 15% seen when more traditional technology is used.

Glasses prescription

The second step of your eye exam involves your glasses prescription. You might be receiving your first ever prescription, or having your current prescription assessed to ensure it is still effective. We’ll ask you some questions about your prescription, but there are no wrong answers. You won’t be rushed, and we pride ourselves on creating a relaxed atmosphere where we can ensure the glasses you will be wearing for the next two years or even longer are right for you.
