Huw Owens – Optometrist
Huw has been an Optometrist for the best part of 20 years, graduating from Cardiff University in 2004.
Huw began working at A1 Eyewear in 2018. Originally from Caernarfon, Wrexham has always been his second home, with both his mum and grandparents originating from Coedpoeth.
Huw has three children: Millie, aged 8, and twins Sam & Harriet aged 5. This means very little spare time; however his main interests are football (attending the occasional match at the Racecourse) and Golf.
Rachel Jones – Dispensing Optician
Following 9 years of service in the Royal Air Force, Rachel opted for a big career change and joined A1 Eyewear in 2016.
Rachel has taken on the role of hand selecting all the eyewear for the practice. Her keen eye for detail and passion for unique styles ensure that we have frames to suit everyone’s taste.
Rachel has recently completed a 3-year degree course to become a fully qualified ABDO Dispensing Optician.
Jo Williams – Dispensing Assistant
o joined A1 in 2020 and works part-time for us. She has over 13 years of optical experience and is a glasses wearer herself, so she understands the importance of finding stylish, comfortable and unique frames.
In her spare time, Jo likes eating out, doing gardening and crafts and spending time with her grandson Rory.
